My name is Luke Dempsey. I’m a professional trumpet player living in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Since 2022 I have held the position of Solo trumpet of the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. I have also performed as a guest musician with other prestigious orchestras such as the Oslo Philharmonic, Malmö Symphony Orchestra and The Royal Danish Opera Orchestras.

My musical journey began in Bacup, a small town in North West England, where I was handed a cornet by the local brass band at age seven. That early introduction ignited a lifelong commitment to performance. Over two decades later, that initial passion continues to drive my career as an orchestral player, soloist, and chamber musician.

I hold degrees in performance from the Royal Northern College of Music, the Norwegian Academy of Music, and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Beyond the orchestral work, I maintain an active schedule as a soloist/recitalist across Scandinavia - feel free to get in touch if you would like to collaborate.
